Just got home from the in store performance/CD release party in Cincy. It was a huge success. We couldn’t believe how many people showed up, and how many CD’s were sold.

We played about six songs, and i made an attempt at giving some sort of thank you speech…but i was a little too emotional to finish. How about that crap. I am a total wuss. and extremely tired. That’s my excuse and i’m sticking to it.
Actually, it was just really moving to be home and see all our friends, family, and fans, old and new, celebrating one of the biggest, coolest things we’ve ever done. At the very least, one day we’ll be able to tell our kids and grandkids about how we recorded and released a cd that came out all over the country. Neat.
We’re all very proud of the CD(Swim). I hope you enjoy it. If you haven’t picked it up, please do so today (november 5th!), and let us know what you think of it. I bought three copies tonight. Some people were buying HUGE STACKS of cd’s. That’s cool too. We like that.

I feel like this tremendous weight has been lifted from my back. It’s strange. I know that releasing a CD is “just the beginning”, but people say that about everything. Not everything can be “just the beginning”. At some point in your life, you have to say “this is a landmark for me. I’ve worked hard to get here and i’m happy; now i’m prepared to continue to persevere. This is somewhere in the middle.”. And i really believe that.

Okay. Enough with the melodramatic semi-inspirational stuff. Yesterday we played in Chicago; tomorrow we’re off to Detroit. We’re happy to be doing some more shows with our friends Dishwalla, and to get aquainted with another great band, Nine Days. Thanks to everyone who came out CD World tonight. Thanks for the support, encouragement, and love you’ve shown us over the years. We love you guys. We love playing music for you.

now, i must sleep.
